Five Credentials
Few Trainers Can Claim

01

Twenty Years Inside a High Performing System.

Mathematics teacher, Head of Department, national curriculum officer and Vice-Principal. Not an observer of Singapore’s system but a practitioner within it, across primary and secondary years.

02

National Curriculum Credibility.

As Senior Curriculum Planning Officer in the Ministry of Education’s Curriculum Planning and Development Division, he worked on the implementation of Singapore’s national mathematics syllabus and the professional development that carried it into classrooms.

03

Assessment at National Scale.

He has led training and test development for national assessment programmes, working alongside ministry assessment specialists from test blueprints through to item writing and review.

04

As Head of Department and then Vice-Principal he built mathematics programmes, led curriculum reform and introduced Lesson Study as a whole school practice sustained over nine years.

Designed for
Monday Morning

Every programme begins with your starting point. Your curriculum, your students, your teachers’ current practice. It ends with something teachers can use the following week. We do not deliver a fixed course. We design around what your school actually needs and we build in the support that makes a change last after the consultant has gone home.

02

Design.

Programmes are built for your teachers, your grades and your goals.

03

Sustain.

Mentoring, Lesson Study cycles and leadership structures that keep the work alive.

From Diagnosis
to Lasting Change

Four areas of work for K–12 schools, school groups and education systems. Every programme is designed around your curriculum, your teachers and your starting point.

01

Mathematics

Singapore mathematics pedagogy, from primary foundations to secondary problem solving.

  • Beyond Answers: Mathematical Discussion in the Age of AI. The signature masterclass.
  • Making Mathematics Visible. The CPA approach and the bar model method in primary classrooms.
  • Teaching Fractions. Where understanding usually breaks and how to build it properly.
  • Strong Foundations. Number sense, questioning and differentiation.
  • Polya’s Problem Solving Approach. Understand, plan, carry out, look back. The four stages taught as a classroom routine rather than a poster on the wall.
  • Mathematical Modelling. The modelling cycle as classroom practice.
  • Cracking the Algebra Code. Visual, connected algebra for Grades 7 to 10.
  • Differentiated Instruction in Mathematics. One classroom, a wide range of starting points.
02

Assessment

The area where system level experience is hardest to find and where most schools have the furthest to travel.

Mr Raj has led training and test development for national assessment programmes, working alongside ministry assessment specialists from test blueprints through to item writing and review.

  • Assessment Literacy for Teachers. What each form of assessment is for and when to use it.
  • Designing Formative Assessment. Assessment that changes the next lesson.
  • Building Better Test Items. Item writing, distractor design and cognitive demand.
  • Tables of Specification and Test Blueprints. Aligning what you teach with what you test.
  • Marking, Moderation and Standards. Consistency across a department.
  • Using Assessment Data Well. From spreadsheets to instructional decisions.
  • Leading Assessment Across a School. Building a coherent assessment policy and the practice to match it.
03

Lesson Study

Teachers studying their own practice together, cycle after cycle.

Mr Raj led a nine year whole school Lesson Study programme in Singapore and has presented on it at the World Association of Lesson Studies conferences in Nagoya and Hiroshima. He works with schools internationally as a knowledgeable other.

  • Introduction to Lesson Study. Principles and the cycle, in one or two days.
  • Full Cycle Facilitation. Research theme, research lesson and post lesson discussion.
  • Knowledgeable Other Partnership. Sustained guidance, onsite or online.
  • Professional Learning Communities. Structures that make collaboration routine.
  • Leading Lesson Study. For principals and heads of department, on protecting the time and the culture it needs.
04

School Leadership

Leadership of curriculum, instruction and assessment, from someone who has done the job.

  • Leading Effective Schools. Vision, culture and instructional leadership.
  • The School Improvement Blueprint. Leave with a strategic plan you can actually run.
  • Developing Your Middle Leaders. Heads of department as leaders of curriculum and teaching.
  • Teacher Leadership. Developing teachers as leaders of learning.
  • Leading with Data. Using school data to make decisions rather than to report them.
  • A Culture of Continuous Improvement. Sustaining growth through change.
  • Inside Singapore’s Education System. Principles leaders can adapt to their own context.

Every School Is Different. So Is Every Programme.

Each programme is designed around your curriculum, your students and your teachers’ starting points. From a single masterclass to a partnership lasting several years. Onsite, online or blended.
